The Kingdom and Gospel of our Lord, part 21….

The Words of our Lord, Jesus, the Christ…” (from May 15, 2010)

Jesus preached the gospel. We must agree with Jesus Christ: (1Tim 6:3) If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, eventhe words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

(1Tim 6:4) He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

(Matt 4:17) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

(Matt 4:23) And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Repent means that grasping the teaching of the kingdom, you order your life (style) accordingly. Turn around. Change your way of thinking. The teaching of the kingdom was before the cross.

(Matt 24:13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

(Matt 24:14) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

(Acts 14:22) Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

(John 6:63) It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

(John 6:68) Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

Now you know! Jesus’ words are spirit and life for the age to come – which is what Jesus preached – “…the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” And, He preached to cities, meaning there would be a new government.
