…Salvation in the 7th Day, part 5…

…continuing references concerning the resurrection…

(Php 3:11) in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead
(1Pe 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
(Rev 20:6) Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Acts 23:6 ¶ But perceiving that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul [began] crying out in the Council, “Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for the hope and resurrection of the dead!”

The Resurrection is a hope…

Acts 24:15 having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

Acts 26:6 “And now I am standing trial for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers; 7 [the promise] to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly serve [God] night and day. And for this hope, O King, I am being accused by Jews.
Rom 5:2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.(Faith works through grace for the purpose of exulting in the hope of participation in God’s glory enabled by resurrection.)

Saved in hope…
Rom 8:24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees? (“Saved” has to do with deliverance in participation in the coming reign of our LORD.)
Rom 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Rom 12:12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,
Eph 1:18 [I pray that] the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Eph 2:12 [remember] that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
Eph 4:4 [There is] one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;
Col 1:27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Keep in mind that glory refers to our LORD entering His coming kingdom.)
1Th 5:8 But since we are of [the] day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
1Ti 4:10 For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
Tit 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,
Tit 2:13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus;
Tit 3:7 that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life.
1Pe 1:3 ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,(This verse really puts it in a nutshell!)
1Pe 1:13 ¶ Therefore, gird your minds for action, keep sober [in spirit,] fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1Pe 1:21 who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
1Pe 3:15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always [being] ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
1Jo 3:3 And everyone who has this hope [fixed] on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
