What the Bible is Only about…….

One time a woman told me, “Mary, you are always talking about the kingdom and I have searched the Bible and cannot find the kingdom – especially as its theme.” Let me see if this will help:

1.  THE KINGDOM PREPARED FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD! Matt. 25: 31a & 34- “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory,……….Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared (appointed for you from the beginning, ordained, provided)  for you from the foundation of the world.’”

Notice: The Son of Man comes into His glory and becomes King.  The Father has blessed those who inherit the kingdom before He conceived the orderly arrangement called, “world” – “kosmos.”

2.  ALL THINGS CAME INTO BEING THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD! John 1:1-3  -”In beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in beginning with God.  All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.”

3.  THE “WORD OF GOD” IS THE SAME AS THE “MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.” Luke 8:8b – 11 – “‘He who has ears to hear, let him hear.’  And His disciples began questioning Him as to what this parable might be.  And He said, ‘To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, in order that SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.  Now, the parable is this: the seed is the Word of God.’

Notice:  In verse 10, that truths concerning the kingdom of God can only be known by revelation from God!  Mysteries are to be understood when the writer, author, reveals them.  (This is easy to understand if you read Nancy Drew as a kid.  I did, and always I had to wait for the author to unveil the mysterious elements.)

You can be “dull of hearing” – Heb. 5:11

You must pay attention to your hearing – Heb 2:1

A hard heart prevents hearing – Heb. 3:14

Hearing and faith must be united – Heb. 4:2

Hearing and patience must be united – Heb. 6:12

The Word of God begins with God creating the creation – out of nothing! – how? by the Word of His mouth – Ps. 33:6-9. In verse 2, the Spirit of God is first mentioned (not needed until the creation has become formless, void, and dark- earth not created void, Isa. 45:18

– earth became formless and void, Jer. 4:23

– God made (not “created”) it formless and void, Isa. 24:1

– the “face of the deep” is frozen, Job 38:29-30

In Genesis 1:2, the Spirit of God is introduced as “hovering,” “moving,” “warming” the ruined creation – as a hen gathering her chicks under her feathers.

In verse 3, “God said…..” The Word of God continues with his restoration of a waste and empty creation – WHY?  Because He had ONE central plan for His creation before He began – The Kingdom of Glory with His Son as King co-ruled with “inheritors.” That’s the reason the “first Adam” had to have a “helpmeet” – a co-ruler to reign with him.  So does the “second Adam.

Before the beginning, God made “ages” in His Son Whom He appointed heir of all things. Hebrews 1:2 NAS –“In these last days (God) has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world (lit. “ages”).

Time, as we know it now, covers two ages – the present age and the coming age, or the Age to come.

In a beginning, God created the heavens and the earth – out of nothing!

How: by the word of His mouth – Ps. 33:6-9

Not created formless and void – Isa.45:18

In a beginning, God created rulers over the earth. “For by Him all things were created, (both) in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities (in the heavens and on earth) – all things have been created by Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16

The THEN and NOW present ruler is the messianic cherub – Ezekiel 28: 14-15, “You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I placed you (there). You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked in the midst of the stones of fire. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.”

Ezekiel 28:17, 18“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor…by the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade. You profaned (or desecrated) your sanctuaries.”

Earth becomes formless and void, cities broken down! Jer. 4:23

Face of the deep is frozen” – Job 38:29, 30

God warms the surface of the deep – Genesis 1:

God created the angels to rule in the heavenlies, one third “fell,” (rebelled against their chosen places of rulership) desecrated their sanctuaries, disqualifying themselves for ongoing rulership until another ruler qualified. Then God created man to rule from the earth, man “fell,” (the co-regent being deceived by the present “messiah”) disqualifying himself/herself to rule. The need became for the governments to be reconciled – both the visible (things on the earth) and the invisible (things in the heavens) because of man’s disobedience in the Garden; thus, the promise of Gen. 3:15.

The beginning tells us something    Isaiah 40:21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

About the end   Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

As a reminder of what we learn in this class, review 1 Cor. 2:14: (in case you cannot find the verse it is in bold type):

The natural man does not have spiritual discernment 1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man (lit: “man of soul” – soulish man – the person living his/her life as it is now, without thought of the life in the age to come.) receiveth ( “to receive by deliberate and ready reception of what is offered,” ) not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually (Note: This word is not used anywhere else in the Bible until AFTER Pentecost! It is used with the resurrected body in Corinthians. It is the Spirit of the Annointed One who came and did only His Father’s will.) discerned ( Vine’s: G350, anakrino ] – to distinguish, or separate out so as to investigate (krino) by looking throughout (ana, intensive) objects or particulars,” hence signifies “to examine, scrutinize, question, to hold a preliminary judicial examination preceding the trial

God created Government

(Col 1:16) For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and for him.

(Eph 6:12) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Without government there is lawlessness!

(Judg 17:6) In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

(Judg 21:25) In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

A servant is not to rule over princes.

(Prov 19:10) It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury, much less for a slave to rule over princes.

God gave man the responsibility to “have dominion” over His creation.

(Gen 1:26) Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

(Gen 1:28) And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

After the fall man was disqualified to rule.

Noah was told: (Gen 9:1) And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. (Gen 9:7) And you, be fruitful and multiply, teem on the earth and multiply in it.”

God Created Angels to Govern

He commanded and they were created.” EVERYTHING named in this Psalm was created, and one day everything here will praise Him! This is the Amplified version:

(Psa 148:1) PRAISE THE Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise Him in the heights!  (Psa 148:2) Praise Him, all His angels, praise Him, all His hosts  (Psa 148:3) Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you stars of light!  (Psa 148:4) Praise Him, you highest heavens and you waters above the heavens!  (Psa 148:5) Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created.       (See also the above section “God created rulers over the earth.”)

God created Man to Govern Earth

(see above references in Genesis)

(Mat 19:4) And He answered and said, “Have you not read, that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE,

(Rev 4:11) “Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou didst create all things, and because of Thy will they existed, and were created.”
